Swag Bucks

March 5th, 2013 at 05:00 am

Soooo, I finally joined SwagBucks. I figured, why not? Whatever I get can certainly help during the holidays, and being creative (although, is doing what a lot of other people are doing really creative? Smile ) will help me stretch my budget a bit further....

I see a few bloggers here use swag bucks... do you think it is worth your time?

I definitely think it's worth my time. So far this year I've earned over $100 in Amaazon gift cards ($50 of which I have received, the other $50 I'll have within a few weeks.)

I have 612 SwagBucks so far - lol - but that included the easy free ones you get for signing up... I am eyeing the PayPal cashout instead of Amazing giftcards - that way I can use the cash anywhere - but it looks like you get more with Amazon... *sigh*

I find it to be beneficial. I'm not as active as some of the ones using it here on the blogs are, but I do manage to get about $20 to $25 a month in gift cards. Mostly I just have their SBTV thing playing on the side while I do all my online stuff and I use the search bar. If I wasn't homeschooling, I'd probably be more active with it, but between teaching and taking care of livestock, and running the household, I've got to budget my time.

I only use it at home, and most of my computer time is at work, so I don't build up my points very fast. I mainly use the search bar; haven't invested my time in the SBTV. Actually, I spend so much time on the computer at work, it has very little appeal to me in the evening! But I earn a $5 Amazon card every couple of months.

Well, you aren't likely to get rich doing it but if you put in the time, it can be a fairly steady stream of extra income. In January I received 5/$5 Amazon gift cards and a $25 Paypal payment. This month I've already received 5/$5 Amazon cards and another $25 payment. A good bulk of that is from shopping rebates.

I'm usually up fairly early in the morning and I can usually get one survey done before breakfast to meet my point goal for the day. Then I add to it as I can.

I do find it worth my time, but I don't spend a lot of time on the site. I tend to get one or two amazon gcs per month.
